I have never been an official tutor, but I have helped numerous friends with essays and study sessions for tests. I have also been asked by my older friends to help tutor their children. I would like to be a tutor because I have a strong desire to help children and college age students learn. Sometimes people get too excited about not knowing something that they forget to actually concentrate on what it is they are trying to learn. Worry takes the place of effort, and they fail to absorb the information. I started out as an education major, but switched because I enjoy History immensely. I have had numerous education classes (Intro. to Special Education, Teaching In a Multicultural Classroom, Child Psychology, etc.), in which I scored very well. I have juggled school, work, a band, a serious relationship (I have a fiance), and still maintained a 3.3, although it has been as high as a 3.7 in some semesters.

Hobbies
I enjoy reading and cooking. I really enjoy taking pieces of a bigger project and putting them to together. I also love playing music (I play the drums) and spending time with my family.
