Experience
I am semi-retired after 28 years working as a University professor in economics. I have Ph.D. in the field, and hold the rank of Full Professor, Emeritus. Over this career I have taught dozens of courses in a variety of specializations within the broad domain of economics. Moreover, I have been successful in publishing academic articles and reports that apply economic theory and method, and I am still engaged in research. I have extensive experience in successfully guiding students through basic courses in both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, which means I know what it takes to complete a course successfully as well as the common pitfalls that can frustrate students. I am happy to work with any high school or college student who seeks to gain understanding of economics, regardless of their backgrounds and previous exposure to the field. Let me help you to gain the perspective and understanding of economics that you need to acquire, regardless of your academic or career goals. Our working relationship could be for a single hour (my minimum time) or regular meetings through an entire course in economics. I let my clients set the pace and choose topics to review, while also providing experienced guidance to topics students may not be aware of.
